Why are super-light e-bikes in vogue?
While the e-bike market was still dominated by very heavy models a few years ago, lightweight and slim electric bikes are becoming increasingly popular. We have already highlighted the advantages of low weight, especially in urban terrain and in conjunction with alternative means of transportation such as buses and trains. In particular, the fact that lightweight e-bikes can also be used like a normal bike without the assistance of the motor is a major advantage in everyday use. Thanks to the lightweight design, riding on flat stretches or downhill is also extremely comfortable when switched off – just like a normal bike. If required, however, the tailwind is just a push of a button away.
How many years do e-bike batteries last?
The service life of an e-bike battery depends heavily on how it is stored and charged. If you store your Coboc e-bike in a dry and warm place (above 0 degrees Celsius), especially during the cold months, and make sure that the battery is not permanently completely empty and fully charged again, a service life of over five years is definitely possible. Our Coboc e-bikes, which are equipped with the Coboc Electric Drive, also have integrated protection mechanisms, such as the Deep Sleep mode, which protect the battery. Deep discharge of the battery must be avoided at all costs.
