Warranty and guarantee.

General Warranty Conditions of Coboc GmbH & Co. KG for consumers/end customers (referred to as the “Customer” in the following), as of February 2024.

You must register to receive the warranty.

To receive our voluntary manufacturer’s warranty, you must register within 14 days of purchasing your Coboc bike using the form at the top of this page. You must also complete the Pedelec Passport at the end of the bike manual, comply with the specified maintenance intervals and enter them in the Pedelec manual.

Claims for defects against the contractual partner of Coboc GmbH & Co. KG remain unaffected.

You have a 2-year warranty.

Coboc grants a warranty of 2 years from the date of purchase. The warranty only covers material and processing defects that already existed at the time of delivery. Warranty claims can only be made to the specialist dealer or recognized specialist workshop where you purchased your e-bike. Replacement and wear parts such as drive components (chain and cassette), paintwork, bearings or cables are excluded from the warranty. This also does not apply to damage caused by external influences such as accidental damage, improper use or wear and tear. The warranty is not transferable. Warranty claims can only be made by the original owner. If you have purchased the bike from a third party (used), the warranty rules agreed between you and the third party apply.

You have a 5-year warranty on the frame.

Coboc grants a voluntary manufacturer’s warranty for a period of 5 years for the frame of your e-bike from the date of purchase. Claims under national warranty law remain unaffected by this. The warranty only covers material and processing defects that were already present at the time of delivery. Any damage caused by external influences is excluded from the warranty (e.g. paint damage, wear and tear, etc.). Different warranty criteria apply to batteries and drive systems. The warranty covers defects for up to two years from the date of purchase or up to 500 charging cycles, whichever comes first. The batteries are designed to retain up to 60% of their original performance during this period.

Coboc GmbH & Co. KG reserves the right to supply or install other but equivalent goods when replacing components as part of a warranty or guarantee service. In the case of used items, Coboc GmbH & Co. KG reserves the right to supply or install parts corresponding to the age of the replaced part.

The warranty period begins on the date of purchase or when the product is handed over to the customer. The performance of warranty services by Coboc GmbH & Co. KG does not constitute an extension or restart of the warranty period. The warranty is only valid for the first owner in conjunction with the original proof of purchase and a warranty registration (see above).

In order to claim warranty rights, the affected product must be returned to a qualified Coboc retail partner. The customer shall bear the costs of transportation.

Any structural changes to the components of the drive system installed in the frame or to the motor and any modifications to the software will invalidate all warranty obligations on the part of Coboc GmbH & Co KG. This does not apply to the replacement of parts under warranty or software updates with the original Coboc firmware at qualified Coboc trading partners.

This warranty does not apply to display items, test bikes, products that have already been used or similarly claimed by the customer prior to purchase.

We do not accept any warranty for defects resulting from incorrect storage. In particular, we would like to point out that the charge level of the lithium-ion batteries in our e-bikes must be checked regularly and the batteries must be recharged if necessary. Details on this can be found in the operating instructions.
