The mobility of the future will be increasingly electrified and networked. Means of transportation no longer stand alone, but are increasingly being used together. The idea of combining the e-bike with the e-car creates new perspectives both in everyday life and in the leisure activities of many commuters and recreational athletes. Together with Kia, we are opening doors to a new kind of mobility.

Sustainable.

If you want to be environmentally friendly on the road, you often opt for an electric car. According to the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research, an electric car already has significant climate benefits (between 30 and 40 percent, depending on mileage) compared to conventional combustion-powered cars. If the proportion of electricity generated from renewable energies increases in the future, this will have a further positive impact on the balance.

However, for a sustainable, comprehensive transport transition, the focus must also be on modal shift. This also includes switching to e-bikes. They offer a real alternative to cars, especially for shorter distances. According to the Federal Environment Agency, two-wheelers are also almost 12 times more climate-friendly than a car.

Flexible.

The idea: an electric car is no longer just a means of transportation, but a mobile charging station. Many of Kia’s modern electric cars, such as the EV9, are equipped with the vehicle-to-load function. This means that not only can the car itself be charged, but other electrical devices – such as an e-bike – can also draw energy via the integrated connection.

This offers enormous advantages, especially for e-bike fans. If you are traveling or planning a longer trip, you can simply take your e-bike with you and charge it conveniently on the go. The combination of the two means of transportation can also be used in cities. Parking spaces are often scarce. With a lightweight Coboc e-bike in the trunk or on a carrier, shorter distances can be covered comfortably and even in conjunction with public transport. Thanks to the charging function on the electric car and a lightweight all-rounder like our Coboc Skye, you remain flexible at all times.

Stylish.

Practicality is all well and good – but how stylish can such a solution be? The answer: very much so! Just as we do with our minimalist e-bikes, Kia also focuses on design solutions that create a distinctive profile. Both Coboc e-bikes and Kia’s e-cars fit harmoniously into everyday life and at the same time impress with their clear lines and innovative accents. Functionality and design always go hand in hand.

Our showcase demonstrates how electromobility can evolve.
